Tel Aviv October 12, 2023
Dear Friends, Clients and Colleagues,
In the early morning of the Celebration of the Receipt of the Torah, Saturday October 7, thousands of unarmed Israeli civilians, including many many children, were viciously attacked by Hamas terrorists.
Their unspeakable acts left over a 1000 dead, taking close to 200 hostages mostly children, women and elderly people into Gaza. Among the hostages and many victims are also family and close acquaintances of our firm. Today, there is no count yet of the number of mothers, fathers, children, grandchildren and grandparents ruthlessly abused and/or shot.
Again, left without a choice, Israel had to take steps to stop the rockets and try to save the hostages. Several of the staff of YEtax have been called for military duty and few officials of the Israel tax authorities were also summoned. Their combined temporary absence may slow us down a little in the week to come.
However, like during prior recurring serious attacks and siege, our firm shall continue to provide service and answers, under all circumstances.
We would like to express our gratitude for the personal messages from clients and colleague professionals from all over the world, who – today – have an even better understanding of the dilemma’s that we, and many innocent people living under Hamas’s sword, face in the quest for peace and a place under the sun.
The kind words received are a solace from the extreme horrors we – and you – have witnessed this week, and the many horrors we fear may still be uncovered.
We appreciate your support, and – also – we are here in case you need us.
