Shiur Acher
YEtax is proud to volunteer at Shiur Acher, an NGO founded in 2002 with the aim of closing the social divide in Israel through stronger public engagement in the educational system. By bringing together citizens with diversified occupations and pupils from weaker populations, who have not had a chance to become acquainted with academics and professionals, we offer underprivileged youth with role models that differ from what they have grown up to know. In this way, they are exposed to the multiple faces of Israeli society as well as to interests that could open up new horizons and life possibilities for them.
Specifically, YEtax has ‘adopted’ one 5th grader from a school in Bnei Brak. Our YEtax team provides weekly lessons to the student on a range of legal topics that bear relevance to their life.
In one of our highlighted activities, YEtax attorneys took the student on a tour of the Tel Aviv District Court, where they met with a judge in his chambers.”
